Based in the North West of England, Magma Effect™ Limited was registered as a Limited Company in October 2005 founded by Jackie Le Fèvre, Dave Taylor and Val McKie.

In October 2005 Magma Effect™ also underwent accreditation to work with the Finding True North methodology developed by a New Zealand based company called Values at Work. This work includes tried and tested techniques and access to the online profiling tool – the AVI – based on the Hall-Tonna inventory of human values.

During 2006 an international network of values consultants came into being - The Minessence Foundation. Jackie LeFevre is one of the founding members of the network and continues to play an active part in developing and championing values based approaces to development.

Autumn 2007 saw the company licenced to work with a wide variety of AVI based reports and start the process of building a high quality network of associates.
